Taking a day off city life. I always remembered Blue Mountains to be cold but that turned out to be an overstatement as soon as i stepped off the bus (hello Australian summer!). We were only given 20mins in Echo Point so we decided to start it off by taking the Three Sisters Walk. Talk about a pre-breakfast workout! We didn’t foresee the steep staircases and ended up huffing and puffing each time we reached a flat platform. Such an unglamorous sight, but whatever. It was only after when i got back on the bus that i discovered the bunch of cute Brit guys that saw me in a dishevelled state were actually on our tour as well..

Great.

Jenolan Caves is another adventure on its own. It consists of multiple levels of caves and is home to the Blue Lake, where the waters are an unusual blue due to the level of minerals in the water. I actually brought my tripod along for the caves which became a burden instead because there really was no time to set it up and we had to keep the line moving. Times like this i wish i had a private tour.

/ Day tour taken with Greyhound Australia.
