Spent my last gloomy morning 88 floors above Melbourne.
The last time i was here was on my previous trip to Melbourne during the Christmas/New Year period. We went during sunset and i distinctly remember fighting against a crowd and the frustration i had with the reflection on the windows. This trip i made it a point to go just as they opened, and was mentally squealing inside from excitement due to being one in five people there. Somewhat felt like i had the whole place to myself – score!
However, my frustration kicked in again when i found out that there are actually reflections in the morning as well. After a couple attempts, i gave up and decided to just sit in the corner, staring out. It was so calming watching the city from a higher point of view, even better with the absence of the usual tourist crowds, and believe it or not, i actually lost track of time.
