Into the woods, into the woods!

I have always wanted to shoot in a pine forest and believe me when i say i spent forever looking for the right outfit (when i don’t even know what kind of outfit is right), but decided to heck it in the end because i didn’t have anything to wear (typical women problems – we never have anything to wear) and it was too cold when we left that morning.

The Redwoods Forest is about a 10 minute drive from Te Puia (accessible through Tarawera Rd), and there was this unspokeable calm when we arrived. You see these majestic trees towering before you, and walk along a path not forged by man. The forest is also favoured by its locals who come to run and hike, and if you’re keen, there’s a treewalk which takes you high above amongst Mother Nature’s beauty.

Took us a long time to figure out the lighting and angles because the sun was disappearing fast but this is definitely my favourite series from our trip.

P/s I reckon this place would make an awesome shot with a drone. Birthday/Christmas wishlist, someone?
