Shrine of Remembrance.

Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance – easily one of my favourite places to photograph.

The purpose of my short getaway two weeks ago was that i needed to get my passport renewed, and the Malaysian Consulate was located in Melbourne. I managed to get it done within the hour, despite the lady on the phone telling me it would take a day, so i decided to walk back to the city and found myself at the Shrine of Remembrance.

I distinctly remember an air of calmness that day. It was a somewhat gloomy and cloudy weather, and as i slowly approached the shrine, there was absolutely no one in sight. This to me is bliss. If you don’t already know, i dislike taking landscape shots with people in my frame. Just makes it messy somehow.

Well, to me anyway.

But in all seriousness, isn’t this so much better than the hordes of people that would otherwise grace your camera frame? I know i’m definitely making the effort to get up early on my vacations from now on.
